Our Story
Redemption Church’s story began in the summer of 2024. There was a group of people who met on a farm just outside of town. They were all praying about “next steps”, believing that God had something different in mind than the status quo.
Through a series of meetings and conversations throughout the Cumberland Baptist Association, there developed a relationship with three churches, Hilldale Baptist Church, Living Hope Baptist Church and 2nd Mile Church. The Tennessee Baptist Mission Board and the Cumberland Baptist Association worked together with the small group of people and these three churches to find a struggling church to help at first. Then, what can only be described as a miracle happened.
After coming to the conclusion that this group needed to plant a church rather than replanting another, Living Hope gave this group a facility to begin in. Pastor Jerry cannot remember hearing of any such thing throughout his multi-decade ministry. An established church gave this new church a complete facility. God did a great work in hearts and souls to accomplish this.
First Service
On December 1st, 2024, Redemption Church began meeting at the facility at 300 Dunbar Cave, Clarksville, Tennessee. At the beginning, we were made up of people from that small group who met on the farm along with some from the Dunbar Cave campus and a few from Hilldale Baptist Church. It is our vision to spread the Gospel, the message of Redemption, across the world, starting in our own neighborhood.
